Drive
File storage, folders, drag-and-drop organization, and sync across your devices.
PLANNEDOpen-source suite
We're building Drive, Docs, Photos, Sheets, and Slides with private storage, live collaboration, and self-hosting.
The Applications
The first five apps we're developing share one workspace and a common approach to privacy and collaboration.
File storage, folders, drag-and-drop organization, and sync across your devices.
PLANNEDWrite and format documents in an open, AI-friendly file format.
LOCAL PROTOTYPEOrganize and search a private library of photos and videos.

Privacy, Hosting, and Collaboration
The local Docs prototype includes an encrypted vault. Cloud hosting and collaboration are planned.
Encrypt files on your device with keys you control. Search documents, photos, and videos through a private index.
Local vault encryption exists. Encrypted sync and private indexing are planned.
Use our hosted service or run the open-source suite on your own server. Access the same workspace from a browser or desktop.
Hosted service, self-hosting, and file sync are planned.
Edit documents together with shared cursors, comments, and synchronized changes.
Real-time collaboration is planned.
AI-Native Documents
Open Native Document (.ondc) keeps your words, structure, and formatting in readable source. It is designed so the AI tools you authorize can work directly with the files you control.
Keep the Rich Text. Give tools access to structure and formatting alongside your words.
Choose Your Tools. An open format is intended to work beyond a single editor or cloud.
Experimental format. AI integration, complete layout, and document conversion remain in development.
Platforms and Formats
Web and desktop apps are planned for Windows, macOS, and Linux. We are researching imports and exports for common document formats.
Desktop releases and import/export support are planned; installers are not yet available. Format names describe interoperability goals, not certified compatibility or endorsement.
The Manifesto
Digital sovereignty means being able to choose your software, control access to your work, improve the tools you use, and leave a provider with a complete, usable copy.
We are designing Skydream to make those choices practical. Independent applications and competing providers are part of the goal.
A document must remain understandable beyond one company.
Inspect, correct, customize, and build independent alternatives.
Keep a complete, usable path to another service or your own server.
The Open Foundation
The specification defines the model. Applications and servers implement it. Providers operate compatible services. Keeping these layers independent is how we intend to make provider choice practical.
Our commercial offer will be managed hosting. The open product should remain independently usable, and other organizations should be able to build compatible products and services.
